How do I learn about other Jooner's members and their contributions on Jooners?
In Seeing Stars,
the contributions of our star parents will be spotlighted. We'll
profile not only what you offer the Jooners Community, but also what
you give to your family, schools, neighborhood and other organizations,
as well. It's a place for celebrating who you are and what you do!
If you click on the screen name of any Jooners member you will be taken to their Seeing Stars page. There you will find all the Resources they've contributed to the site as well as all the answers they've submitted to other members' questions.
What is the Jooners' Seeing Stars about and how does it work?
How long has it been since someone sang your praises or honored someone
you know? We want to make sure everybody knows how much you, or other
volunteers you know, contribute to the community. As such, we've
created Seeing Stars; a spot where you can inspire and be inspired by the actions of the many great parents among us.
Around Jooners you'll notice a special star on pages where your contributions to the Jooners community are especially valued. When you help build our community, by doing things like answering a question or recommending a resource, you'll receive points. As you collect points, you will be awarded special labels and become a resource and inspiration for other Jooners members.
How do I nominate a Star?
It takes a great parent to know a great parent. If you know a parent
who gives to your community by either running the show out front, or
behind the scenes to make things happen, or maybe someone who arranged
the post-season team party or took 356 cans of food, gathered by the
scouts, to the homeless shelter, then they are a Star! Stars are people
who work tirelessly and voluntarily to make their community a better
place. Let us know about a parent who does more than their share by
emailing us at Stars@jooners.com. We'll see that they get their moment of glory.
